Yes, I am a makeup and skin care consultant.
The best way to cover it up is with a product called Dermablend.
You can get it at most Ulta or Sally beauty supply stores, but Macy's also carries it.
You will want to get the cover creme for face.
There may not be anyone to color match you at a beauty supply store.
I'm not certain, but you may have to choose a color yourself if you go there.
I recommend going to Macy's (or another department store) and getting color matched. They have people who specialize in matching the cover up as closely as possible to your skin, by determining your undertones.
You will need one jar of Dermablend Cover Creme for face (about $28)
and one jar of the setting powder (about $20).
1) You're going to conduct your regular beauty routine, and then
apply your foundation, if you use one.
2) Next, you will scrape a small bit of the cover creme onto the heal of your hand with the little plastic spatula and let it soften with your body heat. It takes a few seconds, but it will go on more smoothly if you do it that way. Tap a small amount of the cover creme onto the area. Just gently tap it in, and smooth out the edges to blend with your skin. You may need to do that 2 or 3 times.
3) Then, when you get it perfect, apply a small amount of the setting powder with the provided cotton, or with your own brush. Let it sit for a second and then sweep any excess away.
4) Lastly, if you use a regular face powder, go ahead and apply it, along with the rest of your makeup ( blush, ect..)
As long as you use the setting powder with the cover creme, it will
not sweat off. It will not come off in the rain, in the pool or in the ocean either. It is water resistant, and will only come off with soap and water. It does not transfer onto clothing, unless you really rub at it.
I highly recommend it, as I use it on my clients all the time.
I have covered up birthmarks, tattoos, acne, varicose veins, scars, etc...
I am not a Dermablend representative. We don't employ them in our store. We are all schooled in it, and those of us who feel confident enough to color match do. It's a little pricey at first, but it will probably last you two years.
I really hope that helps :)
